Hypno-Coaching consultations
Coaching structures the path.
Hypnosis lifts the blocks willpower can't reach.
Together, that's hypno-coaching, and this page explains what it is, what it isn't, and which kind of support to turn to.
Our practitioners support you across Quebec, in person or online.
Coaching, therapy, hypno-coaching: an honest sort
Let's start with what tends to stay blurry, because sorting it out correctly saves months.- Therapy treats suffering: it belongs to psychologists and doctors. If you're going through psychological distress, that's where to go first, and we'll tell you so from the first conversation.
- Well-being hypnotherapy eases and undoes blocks: stress, fears, habits.
- Coaching, for its part, looks ahead. You move from point A, your situation, to point B, a goal you've chosen. It's an action-oriented approach, not care, for people who are fundamentally doing fine but want things to move.
- And hypno-coaching is our combination of the last two: the structure of coaching, plus hypnosis to unlock what's stuck at a deeper level.
Identify your situation
| What you're going through | Your page |
|---|---|
| A project that isn't moving forward, a decision put off for months, the sense of living someone else's life rather than your own. | Personal coaching |
| A job that weighs on you, a new role that worries you, a conflict at work, burnout creeping in, a career change to prepare. | Professional coaching |
| A teen or young adult in the middle of figuring things out: studies, a first job, independence, choices with no clear compass. | Teens and young adults |
The real problem: you already know what to do
Missing information is almost never the problem.
You know you should send that resume, have that conversation, start that project, set that boundary.
You've known for months.
And you're not doing it.
That's precisely the limit of classic coaching: a flawless action plan breaks on blocks the plan can't see.
- Limiting beliefs: "that's not for people like me," "it's too late," "I'm not someone who…"
- The fear of failure, and its quieter twin, the fear of succeeding: success exposes you, commits you, shifts the balance.
- Invisible loyalties: surpassing your parents, leaving the path laid out for you, daring what no one around you has dared.
- An identity running late: you only sustain what's consistent with the image you hold of yourself.
These blocks don't reason with you. They get reprogrammed.
The power of Hypno-Coaching
Two levels worked in parallel

This is the principle behind hypno-coaching: the process works the plan (goals, steps, actions…) and the ground (the beliefs, the fears, the identity that has to follow…)
The plan without the ground gives New Year's resolutions.
The ground without the plan gives insights that go nowhere.
The two together produce movement.
That holds true whatever the area: a career change, taking on a new role, a personal decision that's stalled, or a young person who has to choose a direction.
What sets a serious process apart
Four markers, true everywhere and useful when choosing, with us as much as anywhere else.
- A clear-cut goal.
Serious coaching starts from a measurable, dated target, not a vague intention. "Feeling better" isn't a goal; "having sent five applications within a month" is. - An announced end.
Autonomy is the point: a process that never ends is a failed one. We give a rough timeframe from the first conversation. - The sort, said plainly.
If you're suffering, the practitioner has to direct you to a doctor or a psychologist. - No promise of results.
Not a job, not a success, not a guaranteed transformation: what gets worked on is your readiness and your ability to act.
What hypno-coaching isn't
It isn't therapy. We don't treat anything, we don't make any diagnosis. Significant psychological suffering belongs to a doctor or a psychologist, and that's said at the first conversation, not after six sessions.
It isn't advice. We won't tell you which decision to make, which path to choose, or whether to leave your job. Our role is to help you decide, not to decide for you.
It isn't magical thinking. Visualizing a goal doesn't make it happen. What produces a result is action — hypnosis helps you actually take it.
And it isn't a subscription. Expect generally a handful of sessions, with an end in sight.
Our framework, plainly stated
One thing matters here: in Quebec, psychotherapy is a reserved act for psychologists, doctors, and holders of a psychotherapist permit. We are not doctors, psychologists, or psychotherapists: our services belong to helping relationships, well-being, and coaching, and we make no diagnosis. If your situation calls for a health professional, we'll tell you so from the first contact — Info-Santé 811 is also available around the clock.
Our tools
Hypno-coaching draws on:
- Hypnosis: for beliefs, fears, anchoring a resourceful state,
- Coaching tools: a well-formed goal, steps, taking action, accountability,
- And self-hypnosis, taught from the start so you carry the essentials with you.
Some tools drawn from NLP come in too, which we use as a pragmatic toolbox, never as a dogma. We devote a whole page to what it actually delivers, and to what the research says about it without indulgence.
Guides on this topic

Frequently asked questions about hypno-coaching
Therapy treats suffering and belongs to psychologists and doctors.
Coaching looks ahead: it takes you from a situation to a chosen goal, for people who are fundamentally doing fine but want something to move.
It isn't a hierarchy, they're two different professions, and if your situation belongs to the first one, we'll tell you so from the first conversation.
Because a flawless action plan often breaks on blocks the plan can't see: limiting beliefs, fear of failure or of success, family loyalties, an identity that hasn't caught up. These blocks don't respond to reasoning, otherwise you'd already have acted, since you know what to do. Hypnosis works that level while coaching structures the other.
Not at all — many people arrive with the sense that "something has to change," without knowing what. Clarifying is part of the work, and it's often the first step.
That said, a process that never landed on a clear goal would run in place: clarifying is a starting point, not a destination.
Generally four to eight, depending on the ground and the scope of the goal.
The practitioner will give you a rough estimate at the first conversation.
One principle: autonomy is the goal, and a process that never ends is a failed one.
No, and that's actually what defines the approach: our role is to help you decide, not to decide in your place. We ask questions no one else asks, we help untangle what you want from what's expected of you, and we work on what's stopping you from moving forward. The decision stays yours.
Yes, and that's even preferable to blind belief: there's nothing to believe in. What matters is being willing and ready to act between sessions: hypno-coaching doesn't work without your part.
Someone who comes because people around them insist, on the other hand, will make little progress.
Neither the title of coach nor that of hypnotherapist is regulated in most French-speaking countries, so anyone can use them.
Our practitioners list their school, training and certifications on their profile: that's the check we encourage you to make, with us as much as anywhere else. Another reliable clue: how careful the language around results is.
Group insurance plans sometimes cover hypnotherapy and NLP coaching in the form of receipts (helping relationship, naturopathy, or hypnotherapy, depending on the practitioner's affiliation — RITMA, ANN). Check your plan, and also look into your EAP: it often gives access to free, confidential services.
We are not doctors, psychologists, or psychotherapists. Coaching and well-being hypnotherapy are complementary support: they do not constitute a diagnosis, a treatment, or psychotherapy (a reserved act in Quebec), and guarantee no result. Significant psychological suffering belongs to a health professional — Info-Santé 811.
