Hypnosis for Eating Habits and Weight Management in Montreal
3 hypnotherapists who see clients in English in Montreal, near the metro, and by video.
Snacking, sugar cravings, meals eaten on the run, emotions settled in front of the fridge: we help you find a calmer relationship with food.
Adults, teenagers and children: some members of the team also see young people and their parents.
Eating and weight: life in Montreal
Coffee and a pastry gulped down in the metro, lunch in front of the screen, delivery at night because it is too late to cook, terraces and 5 à 7s as soon as the sun comes back: in Montreal, we often eat fast, late, and without thinking about it. In winter, comfort readily comes from the plate.
Many of our clients describe the same thing: they know what they should eat, they have already tried several diets, but the snacking comes back as soon as fatigue or stress sets in.
Diets, snacking, emotions: what is going on
- Repeated diets feed a familiar cycle: frustration, giving in, guilt. The body, believing food is scarce, stores more after each diet.
- Snacking and cravings: the chocolate bar, the bag of chips that vanishes during a show. Automatic habits, often linked to stress or boredom.
- Emotional eating: anger, sadness or fatigue trigger false hunger, which food soothes for a moment without resolving it.
If you are significantly overweight, see your doctor or a dietitian first; if you recognize yourself in an eating disorder (severe restriction, binge eating, vomiting), talk to your doctor or a psychologist. Hypnosis can support that care, never replace it.
Eating habits in children and teenagers
Young people pick up habits quickly too: sugary snacks, grazing in front of screens, skipped breakfasts and, in adolescence, a view of their body shaped by social media. For them, food often serves to soothe boredom, stress or emotions.
What hypnosis can do for you
Video transcript
A bientôt !
Hypnotherapy is a complementary form of support and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any concerns about your health, please consult a physician first.
Clarifying your goal
Rather than aiming for a number on the scale, we start from what really matters to you: more energy, better health, feeling good in your body. Hypnosis supports motivation and perseverance over time.
Calming snacking and sugar cravings
Hypnosis helps you take back control of these automatic habits, ease irresistible cravings and rediscover the pleasure of small, savoured portions, while respecting your fullness.
Stopping emotional eating
Decoding your emotional reactions and eating automatisms, then giving you tools to respond differently: listening to your real needs instead of compensating with food. Combined with a balanced diet and regular physical activity, hypnosis can change your relationship with food for good.
With children and teens
Hypnosis speaks to them naturally: it draws on imagination and play, in sessions adapted to their age, to ease cravings and change a habit without turning it into a battle. Parents are involved along the way. For any question about weight or growth, talk to your pediatrician or family doctor first.

What our clients say
« I met Nuria Perez for a sugar addiction. I'd tried to quit several times but it was very hard. After meeting Ms. Perez I no longer had that ''sugar craving'' like before. I can watch my kids eat ice cream with no problem, and I don't even crave sugar anymore! Thank you so much Nuria for your help! :) P.S. My local Dairy Queen misses me ;) »
Erick, client of Nuria Perez de Leon
« Nuria is an exceptional person. I started working with her on weight loss, but I quickly realized her sessions go far beyond that. She welcomes with great kindness, sincere and non-judgmental listening. Her approach helped me regain confidence in myself, reconnect with my strengths, and find deep, lasting motivation. Thanks to her support, I not only saw concrete changes in my life, but she literally transformed how I see myself and my future. She helped me move forward with more serenity, lightness, and hope. I can say today that she changed my life for a better future. Every session was a precious moment, where I felt understood, guided, and supported.
